For example, it’s relatively easy to add expiration dates to credentials, which will implicitly limit their useful lifespan — and hopefully reduce the probability that one gets stolen. To do this, we simply add a new field (e.g., Expiration_Time) that specifies a timestamp at which the credential should expire.
